Why do you do what you do?
When you have the passion and you find the right path, then everything makes sense. You are where you are meant to be doing what you were meant to do. Let’s just say I’m a big believer in destiny.
What inspires you?
99% of what inspires us comes from within. Listening to your own instinct, to your inner voice, is the key to finding inspiration. Then there is 1% that depends on our ability to see and to listen, whether it’s a conversation with a complete stranger or something that particularly catches your attention. Thus the importance of being aware of one's surroundings.
Describe your personal style.
As I have matured, I have gone through different personal styles. I think that finding your style is a constant evolution that never ends. What I know now, is that my style is based on clothes that make me comfortable in my own skin. I would say I’m elegant and modern, yet a tad conservative.
Your ultimate must-have.
Peace of mind.
What superpower would you have and why?
The power to heal. Everybody needs a little healing.
What is next for you? I
’ll keep you posted.

Where were you born? Born and raised in Nashville, TN Where do you live now? Los Angeles In one sentence what is unique about your work? I’ve made an effort to keep my blog a balance between my life- my friends and those around me- and the “LA scene” of parties, events, etc. Creating The Urbane Blog has been an eye-opening experience that has allowed to me to see LA from a number of perspectives. I have met so many interesting people and am genuinely amazed by some of the talent and creativity that I see on a daily basis. This city is undergoing a renaissance of sorts, and I’m thrilled to be right in the center of it all. Why do you do what you do? I love putting myself out there and meeting as many people (at as many different places) as possible. Blogging in LA keeps you on your toes, and you truly never know who or what is around each corner. LA can be overwhelming, and blogging has provided an outlet for me to explore the best and worst that the city has to offer. What inspires you? I’m inspired first and foremost by my friends. They are all wildly different but share a common creative drive and energy that never ceases to amaze me. Beyond that, I’m inspired by various types of art and music. Recently, I’ve been drawn to Damien Hirst, Jamie xx, Hedi Slimmane, Kurt Vile, Jeff Klein, and Bill Henson. But, of course, Jack White and Jean-Michel Basquiat will forever be my favorites! Describe your personal style. My look, despite slight tweaks here and there, is consistently monochromatic and simple. 90% of my wardrobe is white, navy, grey, and black. These colors can be dressed up or down and go with almost anything! My favorite brands are A.P.C., Common Projects, Steven Alan, Norse Projects, and Garrett Leight. Your ultimate must-have. This one’s tough. Right now, I’d have to say it’s a tie between my Common Projects white Achilles sneakers and Byredo’s Sunday Cologne. What superpower would you have and why? Easy. I’d want to control time! There are never enough hours in the day and a “pause’ here and there would be nice. What is next for you? Next month, I’m moving to New York for the summer. I’m working at PAPER Magazine and couldn’t be more excited. I’m living in East Village with my best friend Laura and I can’t wait to see what sort of trouble we get ourselves into.

Je Suis Arianna Huffington
Occupation: President and Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post Media Group
Instagram: @ariannahuff
Where were you born? Athens, Greece
In one sentence what is unique about your work?
From the beginning, the whole point of HuffPost has been to take the sort of conversations found at water coolers and around dinner tables -- about politics and art and books and food -- and open them up and bring them online.
Why do you do what you do?
Bringing together people from different parts of my life and facilitating interesting conversations has always been part of my Greek DNA.
What inspires you?
My mother. “Don’t miss the moment” was one of her favorite sayings, and it embodied the philosophy of her life.
Describe your personal style.
I’m a big believer in repeats, and it’s one of my missions to make repeats cool!It would save women so much time and energy – which would mean more time and energy they can spend getting things done. Or sleeping. Women feel that they need to wear something new every single day, while men like Mark Zuckerberg can wear the same hoodie and jeans! So I purposefully will wear the same dresses over and over again (really, check my Instagram) because I love finding something that’s comfortable and I feel great in. And I always wear flats or kitten heels.
Your ultimate must-have.
Fresh’s Sugar Lychee Bath & Shower Gel and Seaberry Restorative Body Cream are must-haves for my nightly hot bath with Epsom salts – the centerpiece of my pre-bedtime ritual that helps me get ready for sleep.
What superpower would you have and why?
The ability to go to sleep instantly, since sleep is the superpower that fuels all our other super and non-super powers.
What is next for you?
We’re taking the Sleep Revolution College Tour to more than 50 campuses across America, drawing on the latest science to raise awareness and spark a national conversation about the importance of sleep and the dangers of sleep deprivation. To help students embrace sleep as a performance enhancer rather than something that gets in the way of achievement and success, we’ve partnered with major brands, including Sleep Number, JetBlue, Marriott, Jawbone, Cocomat, Spotify, Lands’ End, Fresh, Sleep Shepherd, Headspace, Marpac, Sheex, and others to host “sleep fairs” and slumber parties on campuses to give students tangible tools and products to learn better sleep habits and make small but transformational changes in their lives.
