Francia Raisa and Selena Gomez met in 2008 while doing charity work at Children's Hospital and have been friends ever since. 29-year-old Francia came to her own decision to donate her kidney to her friend Selena Gomez who needed a new kidney to live a normal life after being diagznozed with Lupus.
The girls are "doing great". “Thank God they’re both doing great," Virginia Almendarez, Raisa's mosther." "Thankfully the kidney was compatible and that everything came out perfectly."
Selena thanks her friend whom she calls a sister on instagram, calling the kidney donation an "ultimate gift"
Raisa also opened up about the experience on her own social media account.
"I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process," she wrote, along an image of the pair holding hands in the hospital. "This was part of our story, and we will share it soon, but what is important now is that this is not the only story."
After revealing news of the transplant on Thursday, Gomez is already back at work and showed up on set of her upcoming Woody Allen film. Like Gomez, Amendrez said her daughter Raisa has also returned to work on on set of her upcoming television show, Grown-ish, the spin-off of the sitcom Black-ish starring Yara Shahid. The show premieres next year on ABC.

It's Baby number three for Kate Middleton and Prince William. The duchess is being for cared for at Kensington Palace and is suffering from Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
In other news, TMZ reports baby #3 is due at the end of January for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Kim and Kanye hired a surrogate because Kim has a medical condition -- placenta accreta -- that became extremely serious during her second pregnancy andcould become life-threatening if she tried to carry another baby to term. They paid $45k for the surrogate, who is prohibited from smoking, drinking or doing drugs during the pregnancy. Also, no hot tubs, hair dye and raw fish.

Like every new mom-to-be, Serena wishes to be organized and ready for the birth of her little one. The powerful upcoming Netflix movie directed by Angelina Jolie called First They Killed My Father is based off the bestselling memoir by Loung Ung. This film is about a child soldier serving under the Khmer Rouge during the Cambodian genocide.
In an interview with Vanity Fair last month Angelina Jolie described the casting process which already caused a controversy. Jolie said she looked for children in orphanages and slum schools, specifically after those who had experienced suffering throughout their lives.
In Vanity Fair article Jolie shares what those children had to do when meeting with the Director. They were presented with money on a table and asked to snatch it away. The children would then have to come up with a reason for why they needed the money.
"Srey Moch [the child chosen for the part of Loung] was the only child that stared at the money for a very, very long time," Jolie told the magazine, "When she was asked later what the money was for, she said her grandfather had died, and they didn't have enough money for a nice funeral."
Jolie response was the following, "The suggestion that real money was taken from a child during an audition is false and upsetting. I would be outraged myself if this had happened... The point of this film is to bring attention to the horrors children face in war, and to help fight to protect them."
Jolie's relationship with Cambodia first began when in 2000 she filmed her blockbuster movie Tomb Raider. Jolie's first adopted child Maddox is from Cambodia. First They Killed My Father is very much a passion project for Jolie.
The trailer does not feature any dialogue, focusing solely on the processes of war and genocide through the eyes of a child.
First They Killed My Father arrives on Netflix September 15.

Prince Ernst August Jr., Germany's prince, a banker, married Russian-born fashion designer Ekaterina Malysheva in Hanover on Saturday.
Ekaterina who is London based dated Ernst August Jr. for six years. The proposal happened during a family vacation on the Greek island of Spetses.
600 guests were invited for the ceremony, which marks the first time a Hanoverian prince has married in the historic Market Church in 66 years. Sandra Mansour, Lebanese designer who once worked for Elie Saab and a longtime friend of the bride, custom made all three outfits for her friend. “I always knew Sandra would design my wedding gown,” says Malysheva.
“All three gowns were inspired by my Russian heritage and had a very ethereal, romantic feeling,” explains the bride.
A jeweled headband created for Princess Victoria Luise, daughter of Germany’s last kaiser, for her marriage to Ernst August III, the groom’s great-grandfather was incorporated into the Malysheva's veil. “I kept everything else very simple, as my dress was quite elaborate,” says Malysheva.
“I wore the most comfortable shoes I know to all three events!” exclaims Malysheva. “A pair of pumps by Fabrizio Viti, the Candy sandals by Saint Laurent, and pair of satin Jimmy Choo pumps.” The other royals that were in attendance were Andrea Casriraghi and his wife, Tatiana Santo Domingo, and their son Sacha and daughter India. Pierre Casiraghi and his wife, Beatrice Borromeo, were also on hand. Charlotte Casiraghi served as a bridesmaid. Beyoncé, 35, and Jay Z, 47, are already parents to 5-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. According to multiple channels Beyonce and Jay Z welcomed baby girl and baby boy twins, born on Monday June 12 at UCLA Medical Center. Blue Ivy is the lucky sister. And no, Obama did not hint anything, it was the mysterious lady wiith blue and pink ballon signed for B and J, arriving at the hospital on Friday.
Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's dad confirmed the birth of the twins on Twitter. "They're here!" grandpa Knowles wrote. We can't wait to see the twins!

1996 murder of 6-year-old beauty-pageant star JonBenét Ramsey has been revisited many times in the past, but Netflix's documentary Casting JonBenét is truly unlike any other to come before it.
It's not about interviews of investigators about what happened,Director Kitty Green took a different approach. She interviewed actors from Broulder, Colorado. According to The Hollywood Reporter, "As part of the audition process, the actors are asked to offer their own theories and suspicions about what happened and to explain why the case still resonates with them 20 years on." And it turned out quiet creepy.
The first clip of the documentary was released in January and featured blonde-haired little girls dressed in pageant attire auditioning to be JonBenét. Netflix releasedthe first full trailer for the film and it's serioiusly creepy.
