Where were you born?
Miami, Florida.
In one sentence what is unique about your work?
When I work, creativity and imagination are in full control so it's always one hell of a ride!
Why do you do what you do?
I live to create and entertain. I honestly can't think of any other career that really feels as natural as being in the entertainment business does. Through all of the experiences in my life - the good, bad and otherwise - I know that one of the reasons things happen as they do is to allow me to use those experiences to be the most aware, open and unafraid in my acting. In the end, I do it because it truly cannot be avoided.
What inspires you?
Going to the movie theater inspires me the most. that is my earliest memory of wanting to become an actor. Now I couldn't tell you what I was watching, because I certainly don't remember. However, I do remember leaving the theater feeling like I was transported to another world for those couple of hours. Even now as an adult, going to the movies still gives me chills.
Describe your personal style.
I love clothes. So much! Our style is our primary introduction when we see people, especially meeting someone for the first time. So my style really just depends on how I'd like to be perceived that day. I'd say it ranges from slightly upscale to modern casual with one piece, be it the shoes or another accessory being the star of that particular outfit that day.
Your ultimate must-have.
My gaming systems. Mainly my Playstation 4. Oh gosh, it's like the ultimate immersive relaxing experience. #Overwatch. That and cheese! Mmmmm!
What superpower would you have and why?
Okay, first of all I'm a huge geek. I'm obsessed with Batman and the X-Men. So I'd have to say the ability to shape shift into anything by just looking at someone or something. Like Mystique. Just imagine all the things you could do, places you could go and people you could meet by walking in someone else's shoes at will.
What is next for you?
Currently slated for this year I have a film I'm starring in that shoots on the east coast that I’m very excited for. That along with my other creative endeavors such as my board game, Horror High, are really looking promising.

Where were you born?
I’m from Los Angeles, and I definitely grew up as a product of the television and film culture here. I studied playwriting at Yale, and then came back to LA to do more theater and film.
In one sentence what is unique about your work?
I think (well, hope) that my work always has a particular kind of playfulness to it. Though there are certainly more dramatic parts, I always try to have fun while I'm working, and I think that really comes out in the pieces.
Why do you do what you do?
It definitely comes out of a love of storytelling in general. I’ve always considered myself a reader and a viewer foremost (I love consuming TV, film, novels, you name it) and I think my desire to create comes out of a wish to participate, to be in conversation with the pieces I find inspiring or thought-provoking.
What inspires you?
Plenty of great movies and TV shows, but I’m also really influenced by art and music. Luckily LA has had somewhat of an artistic renaissance recently, and we’ve been getting the most amazing exhibits here. James Turrell’s retrospective at LACMA, Cindy Sherman’s recent exhibit at the Broad Museum, just being around a lot of those pieces made me want to rush home and create something.
Describe your personal style.
Tomboy-ish, with a silly edge. I’m almost always wearing very ridiculous socks. I have a rainbow-colored pair with giant pot leaves on them, which I really enjoy wearing. It’s very difficult to take yourself too seriously when you’re wearing rainbow-colored pot socks.
Your ultimate must-have. A book. Or an ebook on my phone. To be caught without that and stuck somewhere, entirely contentless, is a highly unsatisfying experience.
What superpower would you have and why?
I would want the ability to stop time. There are always about 40,000 things I would like to be seeing, reading, and creating at any given time. It would be awesome to have enough time to actually do all those things (for example, I’d love to finish, or more specifically, begin and then finish, any of those big Russian novels sitting on my bookshelf). And to take a freakishly long vacation without anybody noticing.
What is next for you?
Right now I’m writing on a new Netflix show called Llama Llama (which will be out next year). Once that finishes up, the plan is to go full-speed ahead to make the feature version of Fuck You From LA (you can check out the short at fuckyoufromla.com).

Where were you born?
I was born in Caracas, Venezuela. At the age of 16 I won a scholarship to study The International Baccalaureate in Swaziland (Southern Africa). Once I graduated, I decided to travel along the African East Coast for about 6 months starting in Egypt all the way down to Cape Town. After that, I flew to England to audition for East 15 Acting School in London to study Contemporary Theatre. I was accepted into the course and 4 years later graduated with a BA in Contemporary Theatre. During my time in London, I was invited by The Song of a Goat Theatre Company to Poland (Warsaw) for a 6 week physical theatre intensive workshop based on Grotowski´s techniques. Back in London, I (together with 2 other friends) founded VIP Theatre Company from which our main show "Caviar & Chips" emerged. It was a 3 women comedy play that travelled all around Europe, including "The Edinburgh Fringe Festival", "The first English speaking theatre in Brugges" and several London venues. In 2010 I moved to Mexico City, where not only did I continue working in theatre but I also launched my career in TV and Film. To date I've participated in numerous movies in leading roles and have been a series regular in my 3 most recent TV shows.
In one sentence what is unique about your work?
I dig deep into the psychology of a character making it my own, until I understand her, root for her, although I as a person may not agree or empathize with her at all.
Why do you do what you do?
Because telling stories is the most powerful way I’ve found to connect to the world and to myself.
What inspires you?
Everyone´s call of duty; when what you do grows to be greater than yourself. Whether you are an actor, a writer, a Red Cross volunteer, a painter, a philosopher or a physicist I´m inspired when people are clearly an instrument from which a greater good develops, flourishes and ripples out.
Describe your personal style.

What superpower would you have and why?
To remove dictators from a position of power. And by dictator I mean anyone who instead of serving their country takes advantage of their position to rip a country´s social and economic tissue apart.

I was born in Mexico City. Started to act professionally when I was 5, I did so until I was 14 and my family to a small town. I studied acting in L. A. and I got my acting and performing arts College in Mexico. One sentence of my work: You are your own instrument, your own brand and product.
Why do you do what you do?
I really think everyone has purpose and this is mine. I´ve learned to do many other things that I really enjoy and that have made me a much dimensional person. When you graduate you really believe all you are going to do is act but then there are so many other ways equally beautiful so now I write and produce theater and I love it too. But acting is my thing.
What inspires you?
I lived in other countries and I came back because mine really needs people who care. Just when I arrived back 43 students went missing. I got very involved with this and met amazing people all of them fighting in different ways for Mexico. That inspires me in so many ways. Art can be just to enjoy it but is also a powerful weapon.

I shed light on mostly marginalized, often stigmatized, women entertainers, focusing on the early 20th century in America.
Why do you do what you do?
Because I am passionate about sharing stories about incredible, interesting people the world has forgotten or never really knew. History is everything. A lot of these performers were never given their due when they were alive and its time we re-evaluate the terms we apply to them and their professions and the automatic assumption people make when they hear "burlesque" "Stripper" "freaks" "circus" "animal trainers".

I’m evolving with each project, but I do recognize threads throughout my work. My music videos tend to be vivid and high energy, while my documentaries almost counter that in tone. Occupation: Actress Instagram: @dreeandree Where were you born? Long Branch, New Jersey. But I'm half Belgian. Where do you live now? Los Angeles, CA. In one sentence what is unique about your work? I like to shake the expectations of how people might think I would behave or perform. Why do you do what you do? It's what I am called to do in life. I feel my happiest when I am performing. I've always known I would be some type of performer, be it an actor, singer or a dancer. There have been times in life where I was more drawn to one than another, but ever since I can remember I just knew that this was what I was here to do. What inspires you? Soulful music and dance. When someone can express their deepest pain, their purest joy through dance or song with no inhibition-- that is so inspiring. When someone is pouring their soul out through their art-- that is incredible. When I see a performance like that I get flooded with emotion and a feeling of hope, and happiness. Even the words "hope" and "happiness" don't describe how I feel when I see or hear a performance like that. It feels like I'm pulled out of this world and am floating and flying with pure joy. Describe your personal style. I love timeless, chic fashion.Beautiful, structured lines and pinched waists with a very sophisticated feminine feel. I love vintage clothing as well as modern clothing that is cut in a vintage shape. I once was at a party and a guy tried to neg me by saying "you look like a stewardess from the 60s" and I lit up and said "thank you!" He was very confused. Your ultimate must-have. Control Corrective Oil Free sunscreen SPF 30. I have extremely sensitive skin and most every sunblock makes me break out or gives me an allergic reaction. The Control Corrective is the only thing that hasn't.It does not contain Parabens, Synthetic Dyes, Petrochemicals, Phthalates, or Triclosan and it goes on smooth and transparent like a normal facial moisturizer. It's not greasy or sticky, so you can easily put makeup over it as well. What superpower would you have and why? I would be invisible. You, know its funny-- a friend of mine recently asked the question "if you could choose one super power, would it be the ability to fly, or to be invisible?" I said invisible and he was surprised because apparently everyone chooses flying. And I guess that question is designed to figure out if you are an introvert or an extrovert.I'm an introvert through and through. It does not mean that I'm inhibited or unable to talk to people-- I'm actually great in social situations. It just means that social situations drain my batteries, where as an extrovert feels charged by those same situations. So yeah, maybe if I were feeling a little tired, and needed a break, I'd become invisible and sit down for a little bit and know that no one would be like, "Is she ok? What's her problem? "Hahah! What is next for you? I'm the voice of Ruffnut on the television series of How to Train Your Dragon, which you can watch on Netflix, and I'm sure you'll be seeing me in lots of other projects very soon.
