BOBBI BROWN IS LEAVING HER BRAND

For all of you Bobbi Brown fanatics you may not like the news, but designer is exiting her namesake cosmetics brand after 25 years at its helm. Peter Lichtenthal, the global brand president will take over the business.

Bobbi shared with Elle "it was time to start a new chapter and move on to new ventures", although she did not specify what sort.

"I am thankful for the extraordinary people that I've had the privilege to work with over the years and proud of the creative endeavours and innovative products we've created together," Brown said. "I am also incredibly grateful to The Estée Lauder Companies and the Lauder family for the many opportunities they gave me. I'm excited to see what the future holds."

Back in 1991, Brown established her brand with only 10 lipstick shades. The brand was acquired by Estée Lauder in 1995. The pioneering cosmetics brand was built on Brown's belief that "makeup is a way for a woman to look and feel like herself, only prettier and more confident".
