Double pop-up stores open in Mykonos. Dior’s anticipated cruise collection is scheduled to present on June 17th in Athens. On May 19th and 28th two stores opened on The Island of Winds. The two boutiques will feature Dioriviera collection by Maria Grazia Chiuri. She chose Mykonos to present sailor-striped tops, Mitzah scarves, J’Adior bracelets and tote bags. Mykonos here we come!
PUMA will be 90% Sustainable by 2025
Puma, famous sportswear manufacturer has set the goal to manufacture 90% of its products from sustainable materials by 2025. The business plans to reduce its consumption of water and chemicals across its production chain as well.
“In our sustainable development strategy, we strive to have the greatest possible positive impact so our customers know that, by buying a Puma product, they are buying a product from a sustainable source,” said Puma’s head of corporate sustainability, Stefan Seidel.

His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh has passed at the age of 99, peacefully in his home. The Duke of Edinburgh was born at the villa 'Mon Repos', the summer retreat of the Greek royal family, on the island of Corfu, on 10th June 1921. He is the youngest child and only son of Prince Andrew of Greece and Princess Alice (of Battenberg). His grandfather was a Prince of Denmark who became King of Greece. The Duke is also related to Kings of Prussia and Emperors of Russia.
The Duke of Edinburgh and The Queen are both great-great-grandchildren of Queen Victoria. The Duke is a direct descendant of Princess Alice, the third child of Queen Victoria. The Queen is a direct descendant of Queen Victoria's eldest son, Prince Albert Edward (later King Edward VII). As well as the title Duke of Edinburgh His Royal Highness has the titles Earl of Merioneth and Baron Greenwich. All three titles were conferred by King George VI in 1947. The Queen created her husband a Prince of the United Kingdom in 1957. As husband of the Sovereign, The Duke of Edinburgh was not crowned or anointed at the Coronation ceremony in 1953.The Duke loved to fly and learned to fly all types of aircraft. He gained his RAF wings in 1953, his helicopter wings in 1956 and his private pilot's licence in 1959. Prince Philip achieved 5,986 hours in 59 types of aircraft. The Duke's final flight was on 11th August 1997 from Carlisle to Islay, following which he has stopped flying.
Prince Philip has accompanied The Queen on all 251 of her official overseas visits. The first of these was the Coronation tour of the Commonwealth from November 1953 to May 1954, when they visited countries in the Caribbean, Australasia, Ceylon, Africa and Europe, traveling a distance of 43,618 miles.The Duke of Edinburgh played a key role in the restoration of Windsor Castle after the great fire of 1992. He served as Chairman of the general Restoration Committee, one of the two committees supervising the rebuilding of the damaged rooms. He was the first member of the Royal Family to be interviewed on television, in May 1961. The Duke has also presented television programs, including in May 1957 a program on the BBC about his four and a half month tour of the Commonwealth. Prince Philip lived for seven years in France as a boy, and spoke the language well. The islanders of Tanna, one of the islands in Vanuatu in the South West Pacific, worship the Duke of Edinburgh as a god. Vanuatu was formerly the Anglo-French Condominium of the New Hebrides, which Prince Philip visited in 1971.

The fashion world is buzzing over Gucci and Ballenciaga collection which showed up at former’s Aria Fashion week directed by Floria Sigismondi. Both brands belong to Kering and do not want to call this a collaboration. Alessandro Michelle refers to is as a “hacking lab”. What he means by that is he is hacking Gvasalia period for Balenciaga and mixing it with Gucci signatures.

Generation Z , those who were born together with some of the biggest social networks and online retailers. They breathe digital world, they were born with it, they grew up with it. This generation bewilders us with their commitment to environment, political opinions, social issues eeven when it comes to fashion. The behavior is both fascinating but complex for fashion brands to understand. Gen Z is cautious when it comes to any movement, they don’t follow old fashioned stereotypes and are easily provoked by unfair treatment. They are not easy to please and the fashion world is and its designers are seeking information to figure out this puzzle.
Gen Z make themselves visible through social networks. Luxury objects for them is a value, the value that has to be seen. These kids were born with social networks, it is important for them to share one’s life to outer world. But the real question is does Gen Z really tells us the truth to the outside world, or only truth they want to tell?
One thing is for certain Gen Z consist of large communities of very active minorities who know how to use social media. When it comes to fashion they promote eco-friendly clothing, but are they really environmentally conscious?
They speak about ecological issues, but still shop fast fashion. They promote secondhand shopping as an eco-friendly approach, but really shopping for luxury clothing at a cheaper price. The secondhand market allows them to buy just as much for a cheaper price , they do that with a touch of eco-consciousness. Whatever it maybe one thing is for certain, Gen Z is changing things and brands are listening because they are afraid of boycott.

She first appeared on the catwalk in 2017. Lady Kitty Spencer, the niece of Princess Diana opened an Alta Moda show in Lake Como for the Dolce & Gabbana brand back in 2018 and has been a special guest of the house numerous times. She is now named the first official ambassador for the house.

Charis Marquez , Levi Strauss’s alum appointed Ebay’s Vice President of Fashion, effective immediately. Márquez will be overseeing everything related to fashion , including luxury fashion.
Marquez served as VP of Sales effectiveness at Levi’s Strauss for four years.
“We’re attracting new shoppers to Ebay with programs and experiences that make us the most competitive platform for enthusiasts across our key categories,” said Jordan Sweetnam, Ebay SVP for North America, to WWD. “The appointment of Charis comes at a time when we have our sights set on expanding these initiatives.”
“Having spent a career in retail, I’ve always admired Ebay’s position as the originator of the resale platform,” Márquez told WWD. “I’ve closely followed the company’s recent investments in sneakers, luxury and authentication, and look forward to building on these experiences for the millions of people who shop Ebay every day.”

Actress Brigitte Bardot, the long time animal advocate and her charity tweeted “ Immense thanks” to Pompili.
30 million charity supporters also expressed the excitement, but hoping for the change to take place sooner.
